Welcome to Scotland.

My name is Francis, but most people call me Frank. I am born, bred and based in Glasgow. I love guiding tourists and to help you explore all across this ancient land. For your comfort and enjoyment as well, I have a Land Rover Discovery vehicle, best car for the wee highland country roads. In 2008, I started working in Scottish travel & tourism as a minibus driver/guide doing the regular day tours and learning the history. After two years I progressed to full coach licence to drive & guide larger groups up to 33 people. And go further too learn new routes and places, like the Isle of Skye. Finding out so much more from this valuable work experience and so many tour management skills along the way and especially the local knowledge.

I managed routes, timetables, planning, where and where not to stop, using nicer places to go eat & drink and which whisky distilleries to visit and find suitable accommodation and more to plan for the future. Using these resources together with my 10 years experience as tourist guide with my own transport and insurance. In 2016 and decision is made at last, to start up my own business, wee advenTours is up and running! Specialising in ‘private’ only tours for small tourist groups who are looking for a more personal friendly and a better quality of services. Polite and smartly dressed guide with nice clean comfortable car for a more memorable experience.

Available from both Glasgow and Edinburgh hotels and departing the cruise-ship Ports at Greenock (River Clyde) and Queensferry (Firth of Forth). Daily tours and multi-day tours to the Highlands and isles upon request. Including Scotch whisky distilleries and Salmon Fishing can be arranged as well as historic castles in scenic locations and going to TV/film production sets for Braveheart and Outlander fans. Custom design your own tour plan of interest to your Scottish ancestry research. I like meeting people and welcoming you to Scotland to see the sights. In my own free time, I love to go fishing especially for Salmon and Sea trout. I also enjoy a wee dram. Slainte Mhor.
