Welcome to Scotland.

My name is Francis, but most people call me Frank. I am born and based in Glasgow. I love meeting & guiding tourists around Scotland. So let me help you explore more, all across this ancient land. For your comfort and enjoyment, I have a Land Rover Discovery vehicle. Best car for the wee highland roads. In 2008, I started working in Scottish travel & tourism as a minibus driver/guide doing the regular day tours and learning more about Scottish history. After two years, I progressed to full coach licence to drive & guide larger groups up to 33 people. Going further for multiday touring, like the Isle of Skye. From this valuable work experience, I also gained many tour management skills along the way being responsible for just about everything. And for me personally, fact finding, especially from the local knowledge.

I managed routes, timetables, planning, where and where not to stop, using nicer places to go eat & drink and which whisky distilleries to visit and find suitable accommodation and more to plan for the future. Using these resources together with my 10 years experience. In 2016, I made my own decision, to start up my own business, wee advenTours. Specialising in ‘private’ only tours for small tourist groups who are looking for a more personal friendly and a better quality of services. Polite and smartly dressed guide with nice clean comfortable car for a more memorable experience.

Tours available from both Glasgow and Edinburgh hotels and the cruise-ship ports at Greenock (River Clyde). Daily tours and multi-day tours to the Highlands and isles upon request. Including Scotch whisky distilleries, historic castles and royal palaces,  scenic locations for TV/film production sets, i.e Braveheart and Outlander. Custom design your own tour plan of interest to your Scottish ancestry research. In my own free time, I love to go fishing especially for Salmon and I can arrange as well.
